GFC’s biggest tournament to kick off

Galaxy Fight Club tournament

Galaxy Fight Club (GFC) will host their biggest tournament to date over the next few weeks.

The mobile MOBA game’s Cross IP Championship will happen between January 29 and February 5.

GFC is yet to confirm the exact dates and prizes, but a wildcard tournament to win entry will be held on January 29 at 9.30am EST and the top six teams will earn a spot in the championship tournament.

GFC allows players to use NFTs from partner projects in-game in the same way players can pit Pikachu against Mario in Super Smash Bros. GFC’s format is similar to Brawl Stars, a top-down, third-person battler that uses weapons.

The championship tournament will feature teams from various NFT projects, including Frontier, Cyberkongz, Illuvium, Cryptoraiders, Deadheads, MetaKey, SupDucks, Bullieverse, Animetas, BYOPills, RKL, Alpacadabraz, Uninterested Unicorns, Goons of Balatroon, Forest Knight Paladin, EthLizards, KarmaVerce, Birdez Gang, Pudgy Penguin, Champs Only, VSP, Voxies, Alpha Pass, Women and Weapons, and Kaiju Kingz.

There will be another three tournaments held in the lead-up to the championships, cash-pot tournaments with standard requirements and rules that have been opened up to GFC partners to allow NFT-holders to get in a little practice for the championship.

The first of these tournaments will take place on January 17 at 8pm EST with a $1000 pot. The top prize is $450, second place wins $260, third place $150, fourth place $90 and fifth place gets $60. If you place sixth, you will win three gold keys.

The second tournament is on January 20 at 9am EST and has the same prize structure as the first. The third tournament is on January 25 at 5pm EST and will have a $2000 pot.
