The Polemos Forge is on its way to becoming a blockchain games hub for all your asset needs. This update will catch you up on the latest news about the Forge—featuring cross-chain token swapping and Futureverse integration, along with a look at some award-winning NFT games that caught our attention. We’re aiming to keep you informed, whether you’re a dedicated gamer, a curious newcomer, or an investor tracking the fast-paced blockchain games space.
Token Swapping & UI Upgrades
One significant enhancement this month is our new SwapKit integration, allowing users to seamlessly swap tokens (e.g., ETH to ILV or AVAX) without leaving the Forge. This is part of our plan to simplify how gamers and collectors manage their digital assets—a step we hope will onboard more users to the world of blockchain gaming. Beyond that, users will now find an AI support bot, and a more refined, intuitive UI and sidebar navigation to help you locate rentals, staking information, and upcoming features more easily. Additionally, we’ve implemented a unified account system, enabling logins via IMX Passport, FuturePass, or MetaMask, with the Forge reconciling multiple wallets under one user with ease.
Futureverse & The Third Kingdom
Along with supporting FuturePass logins, the Root Network is now live on the Forge, allowing users to view SurrealScapes they own directly in their wallets. To see one of Futureverse’s titles in action, look no further than The Third Kingdom—a “chill” resource-management game that captured Lyka’s attention for hours. In her latest video, she showcases how upgrades, resets, and “Energy” work in tandem to keep you hooked, and explains why Episode 2 promises even deeper functionality. I Tried Award-Winning Crypto Games — Polemos | YouTube
Trying out the 'Best NFT Games'
Each year, the GAM3 Awards recognize standout blockchain games across multiple categories. Lyka put this year’s winners to the test, breaking down what they do well and where they could improve.
Her video makes it easy to see these games in action and understand what sets them apart. For a clear snapshot of what’s leading the space right now, I highly recommend checking it out. Below, you’ll find quick summaries of her insights, with direct links to each segment for easy navigation.
Off The Grid
GAM3 Awards: Game of the Year, Best Action, Best Shooter, & Best Multiplayer
Off The Grid earned the most GAM3 awards this year, standing out as an ambitious shooter available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. We’ve been watching its development closely, and it’s exciting to see a blockchain game lauded for both its frenetic action and its polished multiplayer experience. Lyka found the core gameplay promising, though she hopes to see more region-specific support.
Moonfrost
GAM3 Award: Best Art Direction
Currently in closed alpha, Moonfrost channels the gentle progression and warm aesthetics of games like Stardew Valley and Sun Haven. It layers in NFT ownership, meaning your charming farmland and animal companions could eventually have real-world value. Lyka appreciates its unique position. Although some ‘cozy gamers’ express reluctance toward NFTs, Moonfrost might be bridging that gap through strong fundamentals and artistry.
Parallel
GAM3 Awards: Best Strategy Game, Best Card Game, & Best Esports Game
A highly strategic TCG that swept three GAM3 awards, Parallel offers deep deck-building strategy, intercut with compelling cinematics uncharacteristic of a card game. Even though Lyka isn’t a huge TCG player, she recognized the depth that likely clinched these wins—and notes the competitive scene could be huge for those who love complex mechanics.
Pirate Nation
GAM3 Award: Best Browser Game
Representing an immediate onramp to Web3, Pirate Nation brings adventures to your browser with minimal friction. While it may not boast the large-scale production of something like Off The Grid, Lyka comments on its accessible approach—though pricey NFTs could pose a challenge for newcomers.

Raven Quest: Ultimate Beginner Guide (Part 1) — Polemos | YouTube
RavenQuest
GAM3 Award: Best Adventure Game
Caveman’s deep dive covers RavenQuest, a 2.5D pixel-MMO based on the Ravendawn universe. RavenQuest consists of MMORPG staples like party-based quests, resource farming, and class flexibility, mixed with some some Web3 mechanics—all through its its distinctive, slightly off-kilter top-down perspective. Caveman finds the skill combos and Raven Cards particularly engaging, helping players tailor their characters for PVE or PVP.

Why Do People Buy Crypto? — Polemos | YouTube
Why are people buying crypto?
Token surges, Bitcoin climbing, and talk of meme coin ETFs have recently stirred headlines and interest in the broader crypto market. Lyka examined some of the reasons people enter crypto: drivers like hope-driven investment, seeking greater autonomy through decentralization, or community perks and prestige. For a closer look at these motivations, see Lyka’s new video, Why Do People Buy Crypto?
While many crypto gaming releases slated for 2025 are still on the horizon, the broader industry has rung in the new year with notable optimism. We’re excited to see more promising games debut, and we can’t wait to share additional integrations and platform enhancements as they roll out.
