A tournament for crypto shooter ev.io has kicked off, the first of two tournaments for the free-to-play game this month.

ev.io is a browser game, so don’t expect AAA graphics, but it has solid gameplay mechanics and is one of the best ways to test out a crypto shooter.

The prize pool for the tournament, hosted by gaming launchpad and marketplace Fractal, is US$5000 and with every zombie you kill in survival mode, you get a small piece of that pie.

The Fractal Cup II runs until 10pm on January 20 (UTC). It’s open to anyone and you can play in teams of four. To enter, you just need to make a Fractal wallet at their website.

The second ev.io tournament, the Earn Alliance Creator Cup, opens on January 27 at 8pm  (UTC), and is hosted by popular Web3 content creator Spike.

In this tournament, top content creators pair with top ev.io players in a 2v2v2v2 format and compete for prizes worth US$1500. There are spot prizes for stream viewers too. (You can watch the cup here).

The content creators playing include Crypto Stach, YellowPanther, Scott Herman, Y4SPLZ and Nikki.
