SINGAPORE, 15 December 2023 – Today, it is announced that Polemos, a leading Gaming Infrastructure Platform, has been chosen as the official lending technology provider for Illuvium, the groundbreaking open-world fantasy battle game built on the Ethereum blockchain and Immutable. Polemos and their technology partner Guardian Labs will implement their current lending product, the Armory, for Illuvium as part of this agreement.
This strategic partnership between Polemos and Illuvium marks a significant milestone in the growing intersection of gaming and decentralised finance (DeFi). Polemos’ innovative non-collateralized lending solution, “The Armory,” will revolutionise the way players interact with and utilise in-game assets.
The Armory, developed by Polemos and Guardian Labs, introduces a world-first independent blockchain game platform that allows gamers to rent digital assets without the need for collateral or deposits. Unlike traditional gaming platforms, The Armory enables borrowers to have access to the actual game NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) during the rental period, providing an authentic and immersive gaming experience, and provides the lender with complete protection of the asset in game.
The partnership will on completion provide comprehensive lending and staking capabilities for in-game assets such as land and Pokemon style ‘Illuvial’ NFTs, and a more transparent and protected lending environment for asset owners and Illuvium players.
