Yuga Labs reveals point of HV-MTL pet robots

Bored Ape creator Yuga Labs has revealed the next iteration of its Dookey Dash storyline: a lab-building game and competition.

Based on a promotional video released on Twitter, it appears the HV-MTL Forge game will see initiates designing and building homes for their HV-MTL pet robot NFTs.

These NFTs were prizes in Dookey Dash, an endless runner-type game which, in turn, required an Otherdeed NFT to play.

The video showed the robots constructing bases in an axonometric game-world, consistent with Yuga’s cartoonish style.

In Yuga Labs’ new game, HV-MTL Forge, players customise workshops.

“Build. Flex. Fight. Evolve” is the tagline on the video, which also makes it clear the game involves a leaderboard and community votes for designed homes.

Yuga has been a consistent leader in marketing NFTs, with carefully staged rollouts of games and features.

It has big metaverse plans, showcasing an ability to host thousands of people in the same space with the second Otherside expedition in March.
